Russo wows San Francisco

Malden's Dave Russo just returned from a month on the West Coast, where he came up big at the 25th annual San Francisco International Comedy Festival Comedy Competition. This is no fly-by-night festival. One year, Sinbad beat out Ellen DeGeneres. Other competitors have included Robin Williams and Dana Carvey. Russo came in third and will be prominently featured on an Oct. 28 UPN special on the event. You can look for him at a variety of clubs in the Boston area over the next month or tow, including an Oct. 29 visit to Giggles on Route 1 in Saugus.
