Living in Boston my whole life, doesn't prejudice this article. I am a huge fan of stand up comics I got hooked when I was a little kid and I would go to my Gramma's room and watch Johnny Carson with her every night. That lead to getting some Richard Pryor comedy tapes. The rest is Boston comedian history. Boston comedians have always had a place in my world. Seeing all the great Boston comedians like Lenny Clark, Dennis Leary, and a guy I grew up playing sports with Dave Russo. I have seen thousands of stand up comics, supporting the comedy scene Revolving around the center of the Boston comedy world. Where you can find giggles comedy club at the Leaning tower of pizza on rt1 south, the Comedy Connection located inside the Kowloon restaurant on rt1 north and the new Boston Comedy club, The Comedy Cantina, Located inside Agave Mexican grille in Malden. It makes for a great night out with your girlfriend or even better for a first date, great food and laughs. To this day the channel I watch the most is Comedy central when they have stand up comedians on. I especially enjoy watching local Boston comedians they are always hilarious I had the pleasure of going to the comedy cantina produced by Dave Russo and seeing some great comedians like Tom E Morello and Ira Proctor. Even in movies Boston Actors are wicked funny like matt daemon and the other guy o yea ben affleck, say it like gilbert godfrey. The Boston comedy scene is exploding with new boston comedians coming out of the closet all the time. You can see Steve sweeny, Johnny Pizzi, Tony V, and Mark Riley, and Lenny Clark to name just a few. The Boston Comedian scene is on fire. If you live in new hampshire or maine, or rhode island its worth taking a trip Bostons North shore and have some pizza, fried rice, or casidias and laugh your ass off. A little birdie also told me that The Comedy Cantina is going to be putting on a ton of boston comedy shows, being so close to Boston with some of the best mexican food around, and with conveinent access from the T, only makes it more appealing, so make sure you check out the comedy cantina inside the AGAVE Mexican Grille in Malden. |
